Collected frequently in puddles and both natural and manmade pools, from sea level to Dixam plateau (1000 m a.s.l.); found also in salty coastal marsh, and frequently attracted also to light trap. Distribution. So far known only from the type series (WEWALKA 2004); a species endemic to Socotra Island.
