The Roman Amphorae Assemblage Database compiles data for amphora-borne products from 79 published ceramic reports from sites on or near the German/Raetian frontiers of the Roman Empire (roughly 20 BC to AD 450). This dataset presents information on the assemblages and provides spatial links via Pleiades, the Digital Atlas of the Roman Empire, and Vici and connects to the Southampton Roman Amphorae Database. In total, some 268 different amphora forms are recorded in this dataset, with origins and contents noted. This dataset therefore provides one of the most complete overviews of spatial-chronological patterning in the importation and consumption of amphorae-borne products within the Roman Empire.
