Abstract

Scymnus magnomaculatus Fürsch, 1958 Scymnus magnomaculatus Fürsch, 1958: 84. Scymnus quadriguttatus Fürsch, 1958: 85. — Fürsch & Kreissl 1967: 215. MATÉRIEL EXAMINÉ. — M11-LAR1500-T2-M1: 1 spécimen, MNHN. DISTRIBUTION. — Dans quelques pays d’Europe centrale et du Sud. Assez rare et localisée à la France méridionale. DIAGNOSE. — Espèce de 2 à 3 mm de longueur, au corps en ovale large, convexe, subhémisphérique, couvert d’une pubescence cendrée courte et dense. Pronotum noir avec un liseré rougeâtre dans les angles antérieurs. Élytres noirs avec chacun deux taches de couleur rouge fauve: la première, de forme subrectangulaire à angles arrondis, dirigée obliquement de haut en bas, se situe dans la moitié antérieure; la seconde, triangulaire, orientée de bas en haut, se trouve dans la partie postérieure. ÉCOLOGIE. — Dans les biotopes xérothermes; sur les plantes basses spontanées, les arbustes et les arbres. Aphidiphage.
