Abstract

Dictyostelium gracile H. Hagiw., Bull. Natn. Sci. Mus., Tokyo, Ser. B, 9(4): 150 (1983). Sorocarps (Fig 1F) solitary or gregarious, not phototropic, rarely branched, prostrate. Sorophores colorless, sinuous, 0.5–5.5(6) mm high, gradually tapering from bases to tips, bases clavate, tips blunt or hair-point, consisting of a single tier of cells except bases. Sori white, globose, 20–180 µm diam. Spores (Fig 1G) hyaline, ellipsoid, usually 5.6–7.3 × 2.7–3.6 µm, with conspicuous polar granules. Cell aggregations of three types, without cell stream and one aggregation forms one sorocarp, with sheet-like cell streams and one aggregation forms one or several sorocarps, and with radiate cell streams and one aggregation forms many smaller subcenters which produce sorocarps. Cultures examined. HMJAU MR047. Strain 0446–2 isolated from broad leaved forest soil collected in Jingyue, Changchun City, Jilin Province, China. Known distribution. Nepel and China. New record for China.
