CURRENT STATUS: junior synonym of Conogaster pruinosa (Meigen, 1824) (Herting & Dely-Draskovits 1993: 147, O’Hara et al. 2020: 214). REMARKS: Rondani (1861e: 54) described both sexes of Viviania nubilis without specifying the exact number of specimens and not giving a range of lengths. We found seven syntypes in this study.
