Goethe'nin Kur'an-�� Kerim ile Bulu��mas��

Abstract

��slam dininin kutsal kitab�� olan Kur���an-�� Kerim���in Orta ��a�� Hristiyan Bat�� d��nyas��nda y��zy��llar boyu ��n kabullerle incelendi��i ve uzun polemiklere konu edildi��i bilinmektedir. Kur���an�����n farkl�� ve nispeten daha objektif okumalar�� ancak Ayd��nlanma d��nemi s��recin-de kilisenin hegemonyas��n��n k��r��lmas�� sonras��nda m��mk��n olabilmi��tir. Alman ��air Jo-hann Wolfgang von Goethe (1749-1832) bu yeni perspektifin en ��nemli temsilcilerinden biridir. Gen��lik y��llar��ndan itibaren Kur���an ile me��gul olan Goethe, farkl�� meallere ve kaynaklara da m��racaat ederek Kur���an hakk��nda zengin bir bilgi birikimine sahip olmu��-tur. Yap��lacak y��zeysel bir inceleme, onun Kur���an ve ��slam d��nyas��ndan ald������ ilhamlar�� me��hur Do��u-Bat�� Divan�����nda ��iirlerine yans��tt������n�� g��stermeye yetecektir. Elinizdeki bu makalede k��saca Kur���an����n Hristiyan Bat�� d��nyas��ndaki alg��s�� anlat��lacak, ard��ndan Goet-he���nin Kur���an ile olan me��guliyeti ortaya konulacakt��r. Son b��l��mdeyse, Kur���an�����n Do��u-Bat�� Divan�����ndaki yans��malar��n��n izi s��r��lecektir.
