The subject of the study is the theoretical and methodological principles of formation and implementation of investment policy of a commercial bank. The purpose of the study is to highlight the main problems of formation and implementation of investment policy on the example of JSC CB "FUIB" and recommendations for their solution. Research methods. Methodological approaches to the definition of the concept of "investment policy of the bank" is studied. Methods such as analytical, graphical and comparison methods were used to analyze the process of formation and implementation of the investment policy of a commercial bank. Relevance of the research topic. One of the conditions for the successful operation and development of Ukrainian banks is their active investment activities. It should be noted that the current economic situation necessitates the revision of existing provisions for the implementation of banking investment policy and the development of modern approaches to investment needs of economic entities with its further development. There are still many open issues that require more in–depth analysis and appropriate practical solutions, namely the use of modern methods of analysis and management of investment activities. Application of results. Banking industry, bank investment management industry, microeconomics, macroeconomics. Conclusions. As a result of the study, it was found that the implementation of investment policy is influenced by a number of factors: both internal and external. For the successful operation and development of a commercial bank, its ability to respond quickly to changes in the economic life of the country it is necessary to form and implement an investment strategy based on modeling and implementation of recommended steps to improve the bank’s investment policy.
