Orto Palermo 2: 9 (1904). Gagea granatellii (Parl.) Parl. subsp. maroccana A.Terracc., Bull. Soc. Bot. France 52: 16 (1905). Note:— Zarrei et al. (2007) renamed all specimens that Wendelbo & Rechinger (1990) called G. dubia as G. villosa. This is the first definitive record of G. dubia from Iran. Specimen studied:— AZERBAIJAN: Maku, in saxosis calc. 1300–1400 m, 4 May 1971 Rechinger 39231 (W!).
