In the antiquities, generic handouts for quality assurance of digital data throughout the data lifecycle are a desideratum. This paper aims to describe requirements that are generic to the quality of research data in this field from the perspective of archiving, accessibility, and reuse. Reference is made to the recommendations and standards applicable in ancient studies as well as in research data management in general.
