Abstract

The INET_raw dataset is an outcome of the SciGRID_gas project The data set contains geographical and meta information on the European gas transport network. The data have been retrieved from the GIE Database. ‘Gas Infrastructure Europe (GIE) is an association representing the sole interest of the infrastructure industry in the natural gas business, such as Transmission System Operators, Storage System Operators and LNG Terminal Operators. GIE has currently 68 members in 25 European countries.’ (https://www.gie.eu/) Hence, most of the data had to be extracted by hand. The data is being stored in both CSV and GeoJSON files.
