These data accompany the manuscript "Underwater noise emissions from ships during 2014-2020" submitted for publication in Environmental Pollution. These data consist of daily emissions of underwater noise emissions from global shipping, reported as noise energy in Joules, in three frequencies (63, 125 and 2000 Hz). The data is provided in zip compressed gridded binary netcdf3 data format using Climate & Forecast conventions.
Version 3 contains updated results, after a bugfix in STEAM noise model code. Earlier versions of this data should not be used.
