Abstract

Calappa clypeata Borradaile, 1903 Calappa terraereginae Serène & Vadon 1981: 122. Calappa clypeata — Galil 1997: 283, figs. 1d, 4d, 6, 34, 35d. Material examined. Off Aurora Province, eastern Luzon, Philippines: 1 Ƥ (CL 19.4 mm) (ZRC 2009.0244), stn. CP 2653, 16º05.85’N 21º58.85’E, 105 m, 20 May 2007; 1 3 (CL 30.9 mm) (ZRC 2009.0245), stn. CP 2760, 15º54.21’N 21º54.21’E, 100 m, 4 June 2007. Distribution. This is a well known and widespread species which has been reported from many parts of the Indo-West Pacific, from east Africa to Japan, the Philippines and New Caledonia (Galil 1997; Ng et al. 2002).
