Abstract

This repository contains the data set and simulation files of the paper "Sizing of Hybrid Energy Storage Systems for Inertial and Primary Frequency Control" authored by Erick Fernando Alves, Daniel dos Santos Mota and Elisabetta Tedeschi. With these files, it is possible to reproduce all the simulations and results obtained in the paper. This research was funded by the Research Council of Norway under the program PETROMAKS2, grant number 281986, project "Innovative Hybrid Energy System for Stable Power and Heat Supply in Offshore Oil & Gas Installation (HES-OFF)'', and through the PETROSENTER scheme, under the "Research Centre for Low-Emission Technology for Petroleum Activities on the Norwegian Continental Shelf'' (LowEmission), grant number 296207.

Release after the first review round with Frontiers in Energy Research. Now there are 4 simulation cases for the sizing validation: Case 1: 3 MW load step without ESS Case 2: 3 MW load step with ESS Case 3: 12 MW wind farm disconnection without ESS Case 4: 12 MW wind farm disconnection with ESS
