This common Neotropicalspecies was recently recorded forthe first time from TODO TODO Guatemalaby by Dolanand Carter (1979).The series from Montufar was caught inamist net held TODO TODO near the eaves ofa houseas the bats emerged in early evening.The subspecies lambiwas was TODO originally described from Chiapas as asubspecies of M. aztecus.AsGardner(1966) TODO lambi is smaller than typical aztecus,which is confined to Mexico northof the Isthmus of TODO Tehuantepec.
