Thirty-eight polychaete species were found on valves of 175 specimens of the oyster Isognomun alatus (Gmelin, 1791) collected in the northeastern coast of Venezuela. Serpulidae and Eunicidae were the families best represented with thirteen and seven species, respectively. Caulleriella alata Southern, 1914, Eunice cariboea Grube, 1856 and Nematonereis hebes Verrill, 1900, are new records for Venezuela
