Cestum veneris Lesueur, 1813 Distribution in South America: Pacific Ocean, Chile, at 33°S near Valparaiso (specimens colleced in this study); Atlantic Ocean, Colombia to Brazil (Harbison et al. 1978; Mianzan 1999; Oliveira 2007; Oliveira et al. 2007).
