Pegantha laevis Bigelow, 1909a Synonyms in the area: Cunina frugifera —Genzano et al. 2008a [non Cunina frugifera Kramp, 1948]. Remarks: the distribution range provided by Ramírez & Zamponi (1981) is not based on specific records and, therefore, we did not consider that information for this species. Distribution in South America: medusa—Pacific Ocean, Peru to Chile, at 4.57°S 81.28°W, at 39.92ºS in oceanic waters off Valdivia (Fagetti 1973; Chirichigno, pers. comm.); Atlantic Ocean, Brazil to Argentina, at 31.27° S 29.94° W, from 43° S to 53°S (Kramp 1957; Migotto et al. 2002; Genzano et al. 2008a). Habitat: medusa—up to 2500m depth (Kramp 1957).
