Abstract

FIGURE 6. Map illustrating the known ranges of Stegonotus iridis and S. aplini sp. nov. (A) S. iridis (white box) and S. aplini (yellow box) occur in ranges separated by about 1600 km. (B) Collecting localities (white circles) of S. iridis on Salawati, Batanta, and Waigeo Islands in the Raja Ampat Archipelago, West Papua Province, Indonesian New Guinea. (C) Collecting localities (yellow symbols) of S. aplini in Gulf Province, Papua New Guinea. The star is the type locality, the circles indicate the localities of paratypes. Scale bar on (A) = 600 km, scale bars on (B–C) = 60 km.
