Even for the experienced 3D FEM modelers it may not be obvious which geometry discretization is the most appropriate and suitable for this type of problem. It may be a conservative approach to test the computation tool on a simplified geometry, on which the magnetic field distribution is known. As part of the “Metrology for inductive charging of electric vehicles” (MICEV) project (www.micev.eu), an axisymmetric geometry was used, with the results reported.
The results presented in this technical note and datasets are developed in the framework of the 16ENG08 MICEV "Metrology for inductive charging of EVs" project. The latter received funding from the EMPIR programme co-financed by the Participating States and from the European Union's Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme.

| selected citations These citations are derived from selected sources. This is an alternative to the "Influence" indicator, which also reflects the overall/total impact of an article in the research community at large, based on the underlying citation network (diachronically). | 0 | |
| popularity This indicator reflects the "current" impact/attention (the "hype") of an article in the research community at large, based on the underlying citation network. | Average | |
| influence This indicator reflects the overall/total impact of an article in the research community at large, based on the underlying citation network (diachronically). | Average | |
| impulse This indicator reflects the initial momentum of an article directly after its publication, based on the underlying citation network. | Average |
