Taxonomy: Fox 1899: 439 (Eumemes [!]).— Bertoni 1910: 36 (Eumes [!]).— Sharp 1914: 275 (Eumenidium [!]).— Cardale 1985: 176 (cat.). Distribution: Cosmopolitan. Ethology: No reports on Australian species. Where studied, the species build mud nests consisting of jug-like cells on the substrate, and provision them with caterpillars.
