Abstract

The study aimed to analyze the difference between emotional intelligence and physical activity in university students. The study was developed under a quantitative methodology with non-experimental design, comparative type, and cross-sec- tion. The sample used was non-probabilistic and consisted of 100 people (50 = Physical Activity; 50 = No Physical Activity). The instruments selected for data collection were the TMMS- 24 scale and the International Physical Activity Questionnaire (IPAQ) short version. The information was analyzed with the statistical packages PAST 3, SPSS 22.0, and Microsoft Excel using descriptive statistics, normality tests, correlation tests, and hypothesis contrast. Statistically significant differences were found to exist between students who engage in physical activity and those who do not. It is concluded that the more frequent the physical activity, the greater the clarity and emo- tional repair.
