تقييم تجربة الصحافة الإلكترونية العربية يمكن أن يكون من خلال الواقع الذي تعيشه، وظروف الاستخدام المحيطة بالمواطن العربي على المستويين الرسمي والشخصي، من حيث السبل الملائمة المواكبة تطور وسائل الاتصال وتقنيات المعلومات، فضلاً عن البنية التشريعية والتنظيمية واللوائح المنظمة لمواكبة التطور الحاصل في هذا المجال. وفهم تحديات تطور الصحافة الإلكترونية في ظل منافسة المواقع الاجتماعية برؤية علمية من خلال البيئة المحيطة بها، والآليات التي تعمل فيها، فضلاً عن التطور المصاحب لعملها، ومضامين المعرفة العلمية والممارسة المهنية الملتزمة، التي تعّد جوهر القيم والعادات والتقاليد الاجتماعية في أي نشاط إعلامي، لأن نتائج بعض الممارسات والأنشطة الصحفية المتطرفة يمكن أن تصل إلى مرحلة تجريم من يقوم بها. يسعى هذا البحث إلى تقديم رؤية علمية من خلال المتابعة المستمرة للصحافة الإلكترونية العربية والمواقع الاجتماعية، والكشف عن العلاقة القائمة بين تحديات الصحافة الإلكترونية ومدى مواكبة الصحافة الإلكترونية للتطورات الحاصلة في تقنيات المعلومات، في ظل منافسة المواقع الاجتماعية وانعكاساتها على الممارسة الإعلامية بكافة مكوناتها وتأثيراتها، وأولويات الجمهور العربي في متابعتها، والمحتوى الإعلامي الذي تنشره. الكلمات المفتاحية: شبكة الإنترنت، الصحافة الإلكترونية، مواقع التواصل الاجتماعي، الإعلام الرقمي، تقنيات المعلومات، التطور التقني، النشر الإلكتروني، وسائل الإعلام، الوسائط المتعددة.
