35. Leptocheirus mariae Karaman, 1973 Materials examined. 6 individuals; Station Vas. 14(6). Distribution. Mediterranean (Christodoulou et al. 2013). The species is reported in Cyprus for the first time and in Vasiliko Bay it is considered as a rare species (FI: 2.38 %). Ecology. In Vasiliko Bay it was found at 25 m depth in muddy sand substrate with 8.183% organic matter and in association with C. prolifera. The station was in “good” ecological status according to the Bentix Index.
