Allium triquetrum Linnaeus, Species Plantarum 1: 300. 1753. "Habitat in Hispania." RCN: 2375. Lectotype (Nordenstam in Taxon 27: 372, f. 1. 1978): [icon] "Moly caule & foliis triangularibus" in Parkinson, Parad. Sole Parad. Terr.: 142, 143, f 6. 1629 (seep. 145). Current name: Allium triquetrum L. (Liliaceae / Alliaceae). Note: De Wilde-Duyfjes (in Taxon 22: 86. 1973) incorrectly designated a post-1753 Aiströmer collection (419.3 LINN) as lectotype, and Nordenstam (in Taxon 27: 372. 1978) rejected it in favour of the cited Parkinson plate. However, it seems there may be some disagreement as to its taxonomic identity; Pastor & Valdés (in Revis. Gen. Allium Penins. Iber. Islas Baleares: 141. 1983) question whether it represents A. triquetrum.
