Subularia aquatica Linnaeus, Species Plantarum 2: 642. 1753. "Habitat in Europae borealis inundatis lacustribus fluviis." RCN: 4667. Lectotype (Jonsell in Jarvis & al., Regnum Veg. 127: 92. 1993): Herb. Linn. No. 264.9 (S). Generitype of Subularia Linnaeus. Current name: Subularia aquatica L. (Brassicaceae). Note: Mulligan & Calder (in Rhodora 66: 131. 1964) designated 822.1 (LINN) as lectotype, but this sheet lacks a Species Plantarum number (i.e. “1”) and is a post-1753 addition to the herbarium. It is not original material for the name, and Jonsell therefore designated a sheet in S as lectotype.
