Thlaspi alliaceum Linnaeus, Species Plantarum 2: 646. 1753. "Habitat in Europa australi." RCN: 4699. Lectotype (Marhold & Mártonfi in Novon 11: 189, f. 1. 2001): [icon] "Scorodothlaspi Ulyssis Aldroandi" in Bauhin & Cherler, Hist. Pl. Univ. 2: 932. 1651. Current name: Thlaspi alliaceum L. (Brassicaceae). Note: A specimen in Herb. Aldrovandi (BOLO) was treated as the lectotype by Franchetti & al. (in Edwards & al., Fl. Ethiopia Eritrea 2(1): 135. 2000), but was not seen by Linnaeus and is not original material for the name. Meyer (in Haussknechtia 8: 27. 2001) designated a van Royen collection (901.257-174, L) as lectotype but this choice is pre-dated by that of Marhold & Mártonfi.
