Abstract

Echium fruticosum Linnaeus, Species Plantarum 1: 139. 1753. "Habitat in Aethiopia." RCN: 1120. Lectotype (Buys & van der Walt in Taxon 45: 515. 1996): [icon] " Echium Africanum frutescens foliis pilosis " in Commelin, Hort. Med. Amstelod. Pl. Rar. 2: 107, t. 54. 1701. Current name: Lobostemon fruticosus (L.) H. Buek (Boraginaceae).
