Mimosa plena Linnaeus, Species Plantarum 1: 519. 1753. "Habitat in Vera Cruce." RCN: 7667. Lectotype (Kostermans in Dassanayake & Fosberg, Revised Handb. Fl. Ceylon 1: 462. 1980): Herb. Linn. No. 1228.12 (LINN). Current name: Neptunia plena (L.) Benth. (Fabaceae: Mimosoideae). Note: Fawcett & Rendle (Fl. Jamaica 4: 131. 1920) noted the existence of what is evidently 1228.12 (LINN) but did not indicate it as the type. Although Kostermans did not cite the sheet number, 1228.12 is the only material associated with this name and his statement is therefore accepted as a formal typification.
