Abstract

Asca deleoni nom. nov. (new replacement name) Asca plumosa De Leon, 1967a: 2 (preoccupied by Asca plumosa Wood, 1966: 43). Asca plumosa.— De Leon, 1967b: 48; Karg, 1979b: 262. TYPE DEPOSITORY: author’s personal collection. TYPE LOCALITY AND HABITAT: about half-way between Valencia and Sangre Grande, Churchill-Roosevelt Highway, Trinidad & Tobago, on Miconia ciliata [Plantae: Melastomaceae]. ETYMOLOGY: The new name honours the author of the name being replaced, D. De Leon.
