El aprendizaje y la enseñanza de competencias informacionales: dos sistemas interconectados desde la teoría de la actividad y los modelos de comportamiento informacional

Abstract

RESUMEN: Se presentan los resultados teórico-conceptuales de la investigación “Diseño, implementación y evaluación de una propuesta formativa en alfabetización informacional mediante un ambiente virtual de aprendizaje a nivel universitario”, de la Universidad eafit-Universidad de Antioquia, 2008- 2010, realizada por el grupo de investigación “Información, conocimiento y sociedad”. Basada en los fundamentos de la teoría de la actividad, y tras la revisión de 29 modelos de comportamiento informacional y de 6 modelos de interacción para educación en línea, esta investigación permitió proponer: 1) un modelo general e integrador de comportamiento informacional; 2) la representación gráfica del aprendizaje y la enseñanza de la competencia informacional (ci) o alfabetización informacional (alfin) como sistemas de actividad interconectados que generan diferentes procesos para un adecuado diseño instruccional de programas de ci-alfin en el ámbito universitario. Este modelo y representación gráfica se han utilizado en la práctica para diseñar los contenidos de un curso curricular para estudiantes de la Universidad de Antioquia.

ABSTRACT: This paper presents the theoretical and conceptual results of the research project “Design, implementation and evaluation of a formation proposal on information alphabetization through a virtual learning environment at a university level”, of the eafit University- Universidad de Antioquia, 2008-2010, carried out by the research group “Información, Conocimiento y Sociedad” (Information, Knowledge and society). Grounded on the fundamentals of Activity Theory and after reviewing 29 information behavior models and 6 models of interaction for on-line education, this research was used to propose: 1) a general and integrating model for information behavior; 2) the graphic representation of learning and teaching in information skills (ci) or information alphabetization (alfin) as interconnected activity systems that generate different processes for an adequate teaching design for ci-alfin programs in a university context. This model and graphical representation have been used in practice for the design of a curricular course for students from the Universidad de Antioquia.
