O sítio arqueológico Caminho da Caiçara II está localizado no povoado Cadoz Velho, área rural do município de Piripiri, Piauí, Brasil. Consiste de um grande paredão vertical e de um pequeno bloco de arenito decorados com 101 pinturas rupestres, representando figuras abstratas e carimbos de mãos humanas, além de uma pegada de ave e de um propulsor de dardos, pintadas predominantemente em diferentes tonalidades de vermelho e em amarelo, com recorrências dos motivos representados. Há gravuras rupestres representando cúpules e pinturas sobrepostas por gravuras. A degradação do arenito, espessas camadas de eflorescências salinas e ninhos de insetos, como cupins, vespas e abelhas, e infiltração de água de chuva afetam a conservação desse sítio arqueológico. ENGLISH: Rupestrian Art and Conservation Problems from the Caminho da Caiçara II Archaeological Site. The Caminho da Caiçara II archaeological site is located in the Cadoz Velho village, rural area of the municipality of Piripiri, Piauí, Brazil. The site consists of a large vertical wall and a small sandstone block decorated with 101 rupestrian paintings, representing abstract figures and human handprints, aside from a bird print and a spear-thrower. These images are predominantly in different red tones, with some yellow, and recurring motifs. There are rupestrian engravings representing cupules, and paintings with overlapping engravings. The archaeological site's conservation is impacted by the degradation of the sandstone, thick saline efflorescence and rainwater infiltration, as well as insect nests, termites, wasps, and bees.
