Plant associations in Iran. Astragalus seidabadensis Bunge (Fabaceae) (Nikdel 2015), Vicia cappadocica Boiss. (Fabaceae) (Nikdel 2015; Nikdel et al. 2015). Collecting of this species on the above plants is surely occasional since P. violaceum is strictly associated with Polygonaceae (Hoffmann 1958).
