Donus geminus (Zaslavskij) Hypera gemina Zaslavskij, 1967 Records. CRI [Zaslavskij 1967: 238–239; Nazarenko 1994b: 50; Yunakov & Nazarenko 2003: 97; Nazarenko 2009: 49; 2014a: 348]. Distribution. Endemic to Crimea (Skuhrovec 2013) Material examined. Crimea: 1 spec. (KUMN) [CR-10-79]. Dolgorukovskaya Yaila Mt.Range, SW slope of Kol-Bair Mt. under Potentilla sp.montane steppe, N. Yunakov leg., 11.vi.2010; 1 spec. (ZMUSK) Kazantip, V. G. Dolin leg., 17.vi.1972; 1 spec. (ZMUSK) Bilohirsk, Belaja Skala, N.D. Globova leg., 27.v.1966; 1 spec. (ZIN) Yaltinskaya Yaila Mt. Range, pass Kuchuk-Uzenbash-Bogaz, 1 km SE Olmeskhyr Mt., 1300 m, mountain steppes, under stone, N. Yunakov leg., 9.vi.2001; 1 spec. (SIZK) road to Ai-Petri Mt. Range, under stones, V. Yu. Nazarenko leg., 22.iv.2002; 2 spec. (SIZK) mature larvae, road to Ai-Petri Mt., on Psephellus sp., 44°29´43.9˝ N, 34°02´06.8˝ E, V. Yu. Nazarenko leg., 22.iv.2002. Biology. Mountain slopes, meadows. Adults occur in IV–VI. Oligophagous on Asteraceae: Psephellus declinatus, Centaurea sp. and Jurinea sordida. In laboratory on Centaurea spp. (Nazarenko 2009) Notes. Morphological characters and biological features suggest that D. geminus is a subspecies of D. bucovinensis.
