El lagar es la construcción diseminada más característica del paisaje agrario próximo a la ciudad de Málaga. Su presencia en las zonas montuosas se constata arqueológicamente desde el siglo IX, momento desde el cual ha vivido una serie de transformaciones constructivas y tipológicas. El presente artículo aporta algunas hipótesis sobre la evolución histórica de los lagares malagueños, resultado de un trabajo de campo donde se han inventariado y analizado 796 edificaciones localizadas en los Pechos de Cártama, Almogía, Los Montes y La Axarquía Occidental.
Winery is the most characteristic construction in counties close to the city of Malaga. The presence of this type of constructions in mountainous areas is documented archaeologically since the ninth century. Since this then, winery has experienced a series of evolutions in its constructive and typological characteristics. This article presents some ideas about rural wineries in Málaga as a result of the analysis of 796 buildings located in the Pechos de Cártama, Almogía, Los Montes and Western Axarquía.
