El presente artículo tiene como intención el establecimiento de las características más significativas y función de las fortificaciones que formaron parte de la frontera nazarí en el ángulo sureste de la Subbética Cordobesa el periodo medieval. Con todo ello, se intentará poner de manifiesto la jerarquización de dichos enclaves y la relación visual entre ellos con el objetivo de dilucidar cuál era la red defensiva imperante en el territorio.

This essay has the purpose of establishing the most significant characteristics and function of the fortified structures that were part of Nasrid border in the Middle Ages. Therefore, we will try to manifest the hierarchy of these fortifications and the visual relationship between them; all with the objective of finding out haw the defensive network of theis territory worked.
