Abstract

Η προτοµή του Καθ. Α. Προκοπίου είναι δηµιουργία του γλύπτη Θ. Απάρτη. Η προτοµή ανήκει στον υιό του, Αν.Καθ. κ. Γ. Προκοπίου. Στα πλαίσια της αποκατάστασης της φυσιογνωµίας του κτηρίου της Ιστορικής Πρυτανείας του Ε.Μ.Πολυτεχνείου ο Αν. Καθ. κ. Γ. Προκοπίου ευγενώς παραχώρησε την προτοµή έτσι ώστε να κατασκευαστεί αντίγραφο από χαλκό το οποίο θα ανήκει στην Καλλιτεχνική Περιουσία του Ε.Μ.Πολυτεχνείου. Στην παρούσα εργασία παρουσιάζεται η διαδικασία της κατασκευής του εκµαγείου της προτοµής, καθώς επίσης και η διαδικασία της χύτευσης της προτοµής σε χαλκό. Παράλληλα, αναφέρονται οι έλεγχοι που πραγµατοποιήθηκαν στο κονίαµα χύτευσης ενώ παρουσιάζονται οι συνθήκες της χύτευσης και το θερµικό κρουστικό φορτίο (θερµογραφήµατα) που δέχεται το εκµαγείο της χύτευσης
