Here, the test materials are released that were used in a third intervention study conducted over a period of one school year (2018-2019) in two 5th grades of a high-school in Berlin, Germany. The aim of this study was to evaluate how students respond to context-based vocabulary learning in Latin classes and whether they learn to transfer their language knowledge to other contexts. A key question of the still ongoing research project is: How can vocabulary competence in a historical language such as Latin be acquired and deepened by using corpus-based, i.e. context-based, methods? This question is based on a broad understanding of vocabulary that refers back to theories of the mental lexicon.
