Archaeoscina steenstrupi (Bovallius, 1885) Southwest Pacific: 1198702, 14/1270, [57°34’S 125°06’30”W], 851–933 m. Remarks: An uncommon species with a world-wide distribution, rarely recorded, probably because it is a relatively fragile species easily destroyed in plankton hauls, and prefers deeper waters (200–500 m). The only previous record from the Antarctic Zone is by Vinogradov (1962), also from the Southwest Pacific Sector (64°03’S 161°59’E).
