This report introduces the taxocoenosis of moths and butterflies (Insecta: Lepidoptera,selected families) of the Landesbund für Vogelschutz (LBV) property „Zeitlerwiesen“, which is situated on the northern border of Weilheim-Schongau County in the Bavarian foothills of the Alps. The analyses take account of 21 excursions in 2018 and three additional field trips from 2003 and 2014. A statistical methodology for estimating the number of species that could be recorded with a very large number of excursions is proposed. Four faunistically remarkable records required updates of the Bavarian Checklist of Lepidoptera. 21 species of particular relevance for conservation are discussed individually. From this follow recommendations for development and maintenance of the site’s habitats.
