Orius amnesius Ghauri, 1980 Orius amnesius Ghauri, 1980: 288. HOLOTYPE:, Nigeria, Kaduna State, Yankara (BMNH). Material examined. INDIA: KARNATAKA: Bangalore, xi.2012, on rose flower, 1 1 ♀ (TKPM). Distribution in India. Karnataka: Bangalore (BALLAL & YAMADA 2016). General distribution. Nigeria (GHAURI 1980). Biology. The species was reported as a predator of Megalurothrips sjostedti (Trybom, 1910) infesting cowpea (Vigna unguiculata) (GHAURI 1980). In India it was recorded on rose plant (Rosa sp.). Note. The subgeneric placement of the species has not been established yet.
