The peculiarities of forming of information and analytical competence of students of higher education establishment in the study of natural sciences are considered in this article. The purpose of the article is to reveal the peculiarities of the process of formation of information and analytical competence of students of specialty «Economics» in higher education in the context of increasing their competitiveness in the modern labor market. Basic information and analytical skills that are the basis of future information and analytical competence were defined and formulated. The methodology of formation of information and analytical skills of students of specialty «Economics» during the study of natural sciences contains interrelated target, organizational, content and diagnostic stages. The pedagogical conditions that contribute to the formation of information and analytical skills of future economists are distinguished. The criteria, stages and levels of development of relevant skills are defined. It is proved that in conducting practical lessons in the disciplines of the natural science cycle, the teacher, together with traditional tasks, should use tasks that require the ability to work with information. Diagnostic-resultative stage of the methodology of forming information-analytical skills is reflected by the relevant criteria with the corresponding indicators and levels of their formation. Students' achievement of a certain level of information and analytical skills formation determines the result of the methodology. All the components of the proposed methodology form a complete system of formation of informatical and analytical skills of students of economic specialties of higher education establishment.
