TENDENCIA DE LOS ESTUDIANTES UNIVERSITARIOS HACIA EL EMPRENDIMIENTO E INNOVACIÓN SOCIAL

Abstract

Las instituciones de educación superior tienen el reto constante de forjar jóvenes profesionales con visión emprendedora para que den respuesta pertinente a la problemática social. En la presente investigación se describe los factores internos y externos del contexto universitario que influyen positivamente en el desarrollo de una actitud emprendedora en los estudiantes universitarios. Para este efecto se utilizó una investigación descriptiva con enfoque transversal, considerando variables del contexto externo como: las condiciones políticos y legales; y, variables del contexto interno como: infraestructura universitaria, planes de estudio y actividades exclusivas de emprendimiento. Los participantes objeto de estudio fueron 200 estudiantes de cuatro Facultades o Unidades Académicas de la Universidad Técnica de Babahoyo (U.T.B.). Los estudiantes ven positivamente la política de gobierno que respalda las iniciativas emprendedoras. De igual forma se determinó que la universidad si promueve el emprendimiento a través de una unidad estratégica, denominada Centro de Emprendimiento y Producción (C.E.P). Uno de los resultados relevantes es la percepción que tienen los estudiantes, ya que el 87,50 % consideran que los programas y proyectos de emprendimientos ejecutados por el C.E.P., brindan el espacio para la generación de soluciones sociales innovadoras. Con base en base a un análisis comparativo del concurso IDEAS UTB, del año 2017 al año 2019 de la intervención estudiantil en este evento de emprendimiento e innovación social, se concluyó, existe un incremento del 83,93 %, es decir una tendencia creciente significativa.
