The editors of this volume wish to share the results of the project “Modernization of academic library services in Moldova”, financed by the Norwegian Cooperation Programme in Higher Education with Eurasia, realized in partnership between 18 university libraries from Republic of Moldova, the University of Bergen, Norway and the Transylvania University of Brasov, Romania. This volume contain the topics of interest debated on the project platform: new trends in information service, marketing, scientometrics, bibliometrics, open access, digital institutional repositories, information literacy, research data management, pedagogical techniques and others. The book is addressed primarily to the university librarians who will be able to use the information in the work process, in writing new projects and for improving in the field. The book is useful to all the leading factors in universities, ministries for the use of university libraries as supporting institutions for education, scientific research and progress.
