Ibn Taymiyya and Love Within FaithThe issue, faith and love, is a matter, which can be analyzed within a large scale. However, in the article the perspective of Ibn Taymiyya who is remarkable for his distinctive stance within Islamic thought will be consulted in order to restrict the issue. In addition, both the attitude of Qur'an about faith and love and how the issue was handled before Ibn Taymiyya will also be analyzed in order to clarify the issue. Ibn Taymiyya who puts forward a concrete faith theory provides the connection between faith and deed from the deeds of heart (a'mâlu'l-kalb) in which love exists. Besides, explanations of Abu Hanifa, who recognizes acknowledgement as the basis of faith and leaves the deeds out of faith, about the faith theory will also be given in the article. In the conclusion, firstly, the comparison of both of the faith theories will be made and then the result will be revealed by pointing out their functional as-pects.https://www.marife.org/marife/article/view/508
