This poster explores the impacts of social networks on innovative applied research. We will tell the story of the link between internationally renowned cuisine, a sociologist, and a mechanical engineer, and how that link may have a significant influence on improving the preservation of biodiversity and improvement of local cultures, as well as the learning experiences of students. We do so through an exploratory case study in Peru.
