Background: The innovation activity development in Primorye Territory serves the settlement of the sustainable social and economic development of the region, securing dynamic economic growth and the population life style improvement. All of the above explains the currency and novelty of the investigation. The goal of this research is to analyze the innovation activity of the Primorye Territory organizations. Method: Rating structure of the Russian Federation federal districts has been demonstrated according to the innovation development index. SWOT analysis of the innovation activity in Primorye Territory has been carried out. Findings: The article presents the assessment of the region innovation potential, shows the effect of the innovation activity outcomes on the enterprises production development in the Primorye Territory, describes the level and possible prospects for the development and commercialization of high-tech projects. The effectiveness of the innovation activities at the regional enterprises, as well as the dynamics of the organizations innovation activity level according to their ownership pattern, the fields of the real economy sector and innovation types, were investigated on the basis of the statistical analysis. All these facts demonstrate the novelty of the scientific research. Improvements: The materials may be of interest for scholars and experts in the field of innovation management, representatives of the real economy sector and for administrative structures.
