A presente pesquisa propôs investigar os sentidos da abordagem interartes na produção dos musicais do Coral Juvenil Cariúnas, bem como na experiência artística dos seus participantes. Este coral faz parte do Projeto Cariúnas, uma organização não governamental sem fins lucrativos que visa trabalhar a formação integral do indivíduo por meio de uma proposta interdisciplinar que contempla de modo especial o diálogo entre a música e a dança. Levando em consideração que as práticas musicais juvenis são eminentemente polissêmicas, ou seja, contemplam diálogos interartes em seus processos de expressão e recepção musical, parte-se da hipótese de que essa perspectiva pode ser um caminho para a ressignificação da prática coral junto aos jovens, uma vez que as pesquisas sobre a temática têm demonstrado que tais abordagens proporcionam maior interesse, envolvimento e motivação do grupo. Além da observação participante e análise dos documentos oficiais do Projeto Cariúnas, foram realizadas entrevistas com os coordenadores, professores do Projeto e regente do coral juvenil, bem como, entrevistas coletivas com os seus participantes. As questões norteadoras desse estudo foram as seguintes: Seria essa proposta motivadora de uma maior participação e envolvimento dos jovens no coral? Seria essa proposta inclusiva a todos os participantes? Como os alunos se sentem participando dos ensaios e apresentações do coral? A utilização do corpo, voz e movimento seria um facilitador no processo de ensino e aprendizagem no canto coral para estes jovens? Os resultados da pesquisa revelaram a importância do uso de metodologias que contemplem o diálogo entre as diferentes linguagens artísticas no canto coral juvenil. O estudo aponta para a necessidade de os regentes de coros juvenis compreenderem as práticas e preferências musicais dos jovens a fim de reconhecê-las e inseri-las na atividade coral. The present research proposed to investigate the meanings of the interart approach in the musical production of the Cariúnas Youth Choir, as well as in the artistic experience of its participants. This choir is part of the Cariúnas Project, a non-profit non-governmental organization that aims to work towards the integral formation of the individual through an interdisciplinary proposal that contemplates in a special way the dialogue between music and dance. Taking into consideration that youth musical practices are eminently polysemous, that is, they contemplate interart dialogues in their processes of expression and musical reception, it is based on the hypothesis that this perspective can be a way for the re-signification of choral practice among the young, researches on the subject has shown that such approaches provide greater interest, involvement and motivation of the group. In addition to the participant observation and analysis of the official documents of the Cariúnas Project, interviews were conducted with the coordinators, project teachers and the youth choir conductor, as well as collective interviews with their participants. The guiding questions of this study were the following: Would this proposal motivate a greater participation and involvement of young people in the choir? Would this proposal be inclusive of all participants? How do students feel participating in rehearsals and choral presentations? Would the use of body, voice, and movement be a facilitator in the teaching and learning process in choral singing for these young people? The results of the research revealed the importance of the use of methodologies that contemplate the dialogue between the different artistic languages in the choral singing youth. The study points to the need for youth choir conductors to understand the practices and musical preferences of young people in order to recognize them and insert them into choral activity.
