The block universe says the past, present and future all exist — and are equally real — in a four-dimensional block where the passing of time is an illusion. Time is permanently associated with space in physics, so space-time is analogous to DVDs which provide a way to contemplate time travel into both future and past - as well as a way to instantly journey from any location in the cosmos to any other, regardless of distance (entanglement extends beyond the quantum world). Similar to space-time being like a DVD, consciousness and Artificial Intelligence are compared to the laser which reads the information making up the DVD's sights and sounds.
