The European project LIBRA produced an initial assessment, which can be used by organisations to establish their starting position when implementing a Gender Equality Plan. This initial assessment can guide the actions needed to improve gender equality in an organization. This assessment should single out the gender biases and arrangements that are typical of the organization under review and the related procedures and practices that produce/foster such biases and arrangements. These will be examined in the five main areas of intervention of LIBRA: recruitment systems career progression work life balance gender and sex in research management and institutional issues
