Revisión del género Adiantum L. (Pteridaceae) en Galicia

Abstract

Abstract. A review of the Adiantum L. genus is presented in Galicia. Herbarium specimens and bibliographical references are studied. A single species is recognized, Adiantum capillus-veneris L. Information is provided on the works that mention the species, phenological and altitudinal graphs, real and potential distribution maps, material examined and coming from databases. It is distributed along the coast of Galicia, mainly in its part N and in some interior areas such as the Sil river basin. It has a preference for limestones soils, also in pteridotites, streamers or substrates of schists and gneisses. It has its maximum altitude at 600 m and occupies places with average annual rainfall not less than 700 l and average annual temperature greater than 11 ºC Key words: Pteridophyta, Adiantum capillus-veneris, NW Spain, distribution. .
